Built on faith, driven by purpose, committed to healing and reconciliation
"A society where the human person has the force to face his/her history, both individual and collective, and become resilient at all points of view, under the light of the Gospel."
We envision communities where healing transcends generations, where truth leads to reconciliation, and where every individual finds strength in their faith journey.
"To holistically develop every person through the promotion of individual and communal healing, integral reconciliation, and scientific research in the relevant domains."
We are committed to fostering comprehensive human development through evidence-based healing practices, community engagement, and scholarly research.
A timeline of growth, impact, and commitment to reconciliation
CRIR was established as a socio-pastoral initiative of the Archdiocese of Kigali, born from the need to address post-genocide trauma and promote sustainable reconciliation in Rwanda.
Launched our comprehensive research programs focusing on peace studies, trauma healing methodologies, and genocide memory preservation, establishing our academic foundation.
Introduced our flagship healing ministry program, reaching thousands of individuals and communities with transformative reconciliation workshops and healing sessions.
Gained international recognition for our innovative approaches to community healing, leading to partnerships with global peace-building organizations.
Expanded our services across Rwanda and began sharing our model internationally, establishing CRIR as a leading center for reconciliation research and practice.
Embraced digital platforms to reach wider audiences, developing online healing programs and virtual reconciliation workshops during the global pandemic.
